"Everyone" knows about Hank Williams' great composing and singing, but few know much about Texas-born Payne; Payne authored many great tunes, including Williams' Lost Highway and Things Have Gone To Pieces (To hear an Irishman singing some classic Country & Western well, listen to Van Morrison's version of that song on his "Pay The Devil" CD).
